Chris Pratt will attend New York Comic Con this fall to promote his new sci-fi thriller, Mercy. The actor announced via social media that he will be present at the Javits Center during the event from October 9 to 12, 2025, drawing attention to the film ahead of its release.

Mercy, an Amazon MGM Studios production directed by Timur Bekmambetov, is scheduled for a global theatrical release on January 23, 2026. The film’s script is penned by Marco van Belle, who also wrote Arthur & Merlin, and features producers like Charles Roven, Robert Amidon, Bekmambetov himself, and Majd Nassif.

Storyline Overview and Ensemble Cast

Set in the near future during a surge in capital crimes, Mercy centers on a detective, portrayed by Chris Pratt, who becomes accused of a violent offense and must work to prove his innocence. The cast boasts Rebecca Ferguson, known for Dune and Mission: Impossible, as well as Kali Reis from True Detective: Night Country, Annabelle Wallis of Peaky Blinders and The Mummy, Chris Sullivan of This Is Us, Kenneth Choi from 9-1-1, Kylie Rogers featured in Beau Is Afraid, Rafi Gavron who appeared in A Star Is Born, and Jeff Pierre from Walker.

Currently, he stars in The Terminal List on Prime Video, with a second season in development, and leads in the spinoff prequel Dark Wolf, premiering on August 27, 2025.
