Sharon Stone has embraced a change in her wardrobe now that her three adopted sons have moved out of the family home. In a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the actress revealed she is once again wearing lady underwear after 25 years of living in what she described as a “stinky fraternity house.”
The Casino star is a mother to three sons: Roan, 25, from her marriage to Phil Bronstein, and Laird, 20, and Quinn, 19, whom she also adopted. During the interview, Stone shared that raising boys influenced her clothing choices over the years.
Adjusting to Life After Motherhood
Stone joked that during the years she was raising her sons, she wore boxer shorts instead of traditional women’s panties, saying,
“Because you do not wear lady panties when you have so many boys.”
She added that she had begun to “morph into a dude,” reflecting the practical demands of her daily life.
Now that her sons have left the house, Stone expressed feeling feminine again, explaining, “I’m a girl again.” She also noted a personal transformation, stating,
“I hope you notice. I feel really feminine again. I grew my hair back. It’s amazing!”
Reflecting on Iconic Roles and Career Highlights
Known for portraying seductive yet dangerous characters, Stone is famous for her role as Catherine Tramell in the 1992 thriller Basic Instinct. Entertainment Weekly recently ranked her character as the best among similar roles. Stone discussed the film’s most notorious scene, where Tramell crosses her legs without wearing any underwear while being questioned by police.
Commenting on the impact of that moment, Stone said,
“It made me an icon, but it didn’t bring me respect,”
and added,
“But would I do it again? We don’t get to make these choices in life. I don’t participate in the fantasy world in this way.”
Upcoming Projects and Industry Developments
Basic Instinct writer Joe Eszterhas is reportedly developing a reboot of the film, with Stone possibly reprising a role. Meanwhile, her next movie appearance will be in the action comedy Nobody 2, which hits theaters August 15. The cast includes Bob Odenkirk, Christopher Lloyd, and Connie Nielsen.
Additionally, Stone is slated to return in the third season of HBO’s acclaimed series Euphoria next year, further showcasing her continued presence in high-profile projects.
