Paris Jackson Denies Supporting Colman Domingo’s Michael Jackson Biopic Claims

Paris Jackson has publicly denied actor Colman Domingo’s claim that she and her siblings fully endorse the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, in which Domingo plays Joe Jackson, Michael’s father. Paris clarified she has had no significant involvement in the film Michael and disputed statements suggesting otherwise.

Responding on Instagram, Paris expressed disbelief at being linked to the project with active support, writing,

“[Colman Domingo], don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in lol that is so weird,”

highlighting her distancing from the production.

Clarification on Paris’s Limited Role in Script Review

The controversy arose after Domingo stated in a recent People magazine interview that Paris and her brother Prince Jackson “very much” support the film. Paris responded by explaining her interaction was limited to providing feedback on an early draft of the script. She shared,

“I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest / didn’t sit right with me, and when they didn’t address it, I moved on with my life. Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and God speed.”

She further elaborated that after her concerns were ignored, she chose to disengage from the project. Paris noted,

“I wasn’t involved at all, aside from giving feedback on the first draft and then getting the feedback that [production] was not actually going to address your notes at all.”

Paris Speaks Out on Hollywood Biopics and False Narratives

Paris Jackson criticized biopics as often crafting controlled narratives filled with inaccuracies, describing the genre as a fantasy land created by Hollywood and falsely presented as reality. She expressed frustration with the project’s content and the false impressions being promoted.

She said,

“The thing about these biopics is — it’s Hollywood. So it’s fantasy land. It’s not real but it’s sold to you as real and a lot of suger coated,”

and explained she has only met Domingo twice in brief encounters. She added,

“The narrative is being controlled and there’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies. At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. I don’t really like dishonesty. I spoke up. I wasn’t heard. I f—ked off.”

Despite her criticisms, Paris acknowledged that many fans will likely enjoy the movie, commenting,

“Y’all are going to like the f—king movie. So just go watch it. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it.”

Paris Prefers Truth Over Commercial Gain in Michael Jackson’s Portrayal

In concluding her statements, Paris Jackson emphasized her preference for honesty over commercial motives and dismissed any ongoing association with the film’s version of her father’s story. She stated,

That’s not my truth, That’s not where I’m coming from. I just prefer honesty over sales and monetary gain. I kind of just don’t want anything to do with that. So I’m going to f—k off again and I’m going to keep minding my business. I suggest you do the same.”
