Justin Baldoni has been accused of verbal abuse by an unnamed individual during the ongoing Blake Lively legal battle update. According to court papers obtained on September 9, the accuser claims Baldoni engaged in repeated verbal mistreatment, affecting their involvement in a project’s production.
Details of the Accusation and Its Impact on Production Roles
The person, whose identity remains confidential, stated in a legal declaration that they experienced frequent verbal abuse from Baldoni and his team. This behavior reportedly led to Baldoni being restricted from the set for most of the production. Furthermore, the accuser requested that Baldoni have no role in marketing or public relations related to the project, reflecting the severity of the conflict.
I had repeated, with Mr. Baldoni and his associates, including verbal abuse by Mr. Baldoni,
the document read. It added that Baldoni was
permitted on set during the majority of production as a result of those experiences.
The accuser also indicated that Baldoni was
not be involved in marketing or public relations efforts
for the project.
Connection to Blake Lively Dispute and Upcoming Trial
This accuser could become an important witness in the trial between Baldoni and Lively, which is currently set for March 2026. The legal confrontation intensified after Blake Lively accused Baldoni last year of sexual harassment, hostile work conditions, and conducting a smear campaign against her. Baldoni has consistently denied these charges and countersued Lively for defamation.

In a significant legal decision in June, a judge dismissed Baldoni’s countersuit against Lively, giving her a legal win. However, Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni continues, keeping the litigation ongoing.
The court decision on the motion to dismiss has no effect whatsoever on the truth that there was no harassment nor any smear campaign, and it does not in any way affect our vigorous defense against Ms. Lively’s claims,
Baldoni’s lawyer stated at the time.
Discovery is proceeding and we are confident that we will prevail against these factually baseless accusations. Instead of revising the existing claims, our clients will be pursuing additional legal options that are available to us.
Deposition Proceedings and Evidence Disclosure
Earlier this year, Blake Lively was deposed in New York City as part of Baldoni’s legal inquiry, with the actor present during July’s testimony. Representatives for Lively commented positively on the deposition’s progress and expressed intent to depose Baldoni and other involved parties soon.
We are very pleased with the outcome of her deposition, and now look forward to deposing Justin Baldoni and each of the codefendants in short order,
a spokesperson for Lively said.
Deposition testimony is confidential for good reason — it’s evidence in a legal proceeding and is subject to objections and evidentiary rules. Juries aren’t just handed deposition transcripts to read at home, and instead they listen to testimony that is presented at trial under a judge’s supervision.
Last month, Judge Lewis J. Liman unsealed redacted documents submitted by Lively’s legal team, including text messages and emails exchanged between Baldoni, his publicist, and representatives of Wayfarer Studios. These disclosures could play a role in the coming trial.
Legal Battle’s Significance and Upcoming Developments
The ongoing dispute between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively highlights complex issues around workplace conduct and reputational damage within the entertainment industry. With the trial slated for early 2026, new testimonies and evidence are expected to shed further light on both parties’ claims.
The recent verbal abuse allegation adds urgency to the case, potentially influencing witness credibility and legal strategies. Observers anticipate that the trial will be closely followed, given its high-profile nature and the serious accusations involved.
