Apple Martin Turns Down Six-Figure Modeling for College

Apple Martin, daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, has rejected a series of major modeling contracts to focus on her education at Vanderbilt University. Despite receiving several six-figure deals from well-known fashion brands, the 21-year-old is committed to prioritizing her studies and personal growth.

Turning Away from Fame and High-Profile Modeling

Sources close to Apple reveal that she has been approached by numerous global fashion houses eager to sign her, but she has firmly declined these lucrative opportunities. One insider shared,

“She’s had huge brands begging her to sign.”

The same source explained,

“But Apple said no. For her, school comes first. She’s smart, grounded and curious about the world beyond Hollywood. She’s not interested in being famous just because she can be.”

Keeping a low public profile, Apple has largely avoided the spotlight despite her celebrity lineage. While she sometimes appears at events with her mother, Apple has shown little desire to pursue modeling or a career in entertainment. Speaking to Interview magazine in April, she expressed her cautiousness about public exposure:

“Even if you see a million positive things, there can be one thing that absolutely wrecks you.”

She also said,

“I’ve stopped now and I avoid it like the plague, because I know myself. I know that if I see stuff that isn’t true and that’s really upsetting to me, I’m going to be like, ‘Oh my god, I should never go out in public again.’”

Focusing on Academic Ambitions and Personal Identity

Currently studying law, history, and society at Vanderbilt, Apple Martin is intent on shaping an identity separate from her famous parents. Opting out of multimillion-dollar offers surprises some, but those close to her confirm that maintaining her privacy and investing in her education take precedence. Her decision underscores a determination to explore her passions beyond the allure of fashion and celebrity.
