The acclaimed spy thriller Taylor Sheridan’s Lioness is set to begin production on its third season next month, much to the excitement of Lioness fans eager for more. After Paramount officially renewed the show for Season 3 earlier this summer, the long-anticipated continuation is now moving forward, with casting calls underway in Texas, where filming will take place.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, production on Lioness Season 3 is scheduled to start on October 10. The studio is currently recruiting extras and stand-ins, including doubles for leading stars Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman. Legacy Casting is seeking actors to fill roles as FBI agents and employees at a medical examiner’s office, with pay rates ranging from $100 to $350 for 10 to 12 hours of work. This confirms an active filming phase for the show in Texas, engaging local talent and adding authenticity to its setting.
Lioness focuses on CIA operative Joe, portrayed by Zoe Saldaña, as she expertly navigates the tensions between her covert work and personal life while spearheading counterterrorism efforts. Taylor Sheridan, the creator, not only scripts the series but also appears as Cody Spears in multiple episodes. Although his return for this season remains uncertain, co-stars Michael Kelly and Morgan Freeman are anticipated to reprise their roles as Edwin Mullins and Byron Westfield respectively, contributing to the show’s strong ensemble.
