Robert Pattinson’s Dark Turn in ‘Die, My Love’ Trailer Revealed

MUBI released the official trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller Die, My Love, starring Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence, ahead of its November 7, 2025, theatrical debut. The film centers on Grace (Lawrence) and Jackson (Pattinson), a young couple who leave their rural home in Montana for New York City with their newborn, only to face intense emotional struggles triggered by Grace’s postpartum depression and growing isolation.

The Changing Dynamics of a Couple’s Fragile Life

The trailer opens with Grace and Jackson appearing hopeful and content as they begin a new chapter in New York. However, as the clip progresses, a deeper sense of unease emerges, showcasing Grace’s descent into a troubled mental state. Her experience is marked by detachment and turmoil, fracturing the couple’s once happy life. Supporting actors in the film include LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, Sissy Spacek, and Gabrielle Rose, adding further depth to this bleak narrative.

Insight Into the Story and Its Origins

The movie is adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s 2012 novel and directed by Lynne Ramsay, with production led by Martin Scorsese. The official synopsis states:

“A hopeful young and loving couple (Grace and Jackson) move from New York to an inherited house in the country. Grace tries to find her Identity with a new baby in the isolated environment. Yet as she begins to unravel, it’s not in weakness but imagination, strength, and a stunning untamed vivacity that she discovers herself anew.”

Reception and Festival Premiere

Die, My Love premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and, despite skipping other fall festivals, is set for direct theatrical release. The film has received positive critical attention, boasting a 78% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have commended Ramsay’s intense direction and Lawrence’s compelling portrayal of Grace’s emotional complexity.

Jennifer Lawrence’s Personal Connection to Her Role

Jennifer Lawrence revealed that filming the movie was a unique experience as she was pregnant during production. She shared her reflections in an IndieWire interview:

“I’m not really an actor who brings my work home,”

Lawrence said.

“Part of what she’s going through is the hormonal imbalance that comes from postpartum. She’s also having an identity crisis. Who am I as a mother? Who am I as a wife? Who am I as a sexual person to my husband? Who am I as a creative? She’s plagued with this feeling that she’s disappearing. For me, I was four and a half, five months pregnant when we shot.”

Anticipation Builds for November Release

As Robert Pattinson Die My Love approaches its release date, audiences can expect a gripping portrayal of mental health’s impact on relationships, set against the stark contrast of city life and personal isolation. The film promises to reveal intense emotional depths through the lens of Ramsay’s direction and performances from a talented ensemble cast. Cinema-goers will witness a disturbing yet powerful exploration of identity and vulnerability when it debuts on November 7, 2025.
