Taylor Sheridan’s New Movie Script Has Stars Hyped

Sam Claflin expressed his eagerness to share details about the compelling script for Taylor Sheridan’s new movie, F.A.S.T., which is scheduled for release on April 23, 2027. Known for his reputation as a successful writer-producer and Oscar-nominated screenwriter, Sheridan returns to feature film writing with this highly anticipated project.

Currently filming F.A.S.T. in New York, Claflin praised the film’s strong cast and crew, citing the script and his engaging character as major highlights. The movie stars notable actors including Brandon Sklenar, LaKeith Stanfield, Trevante Rhodes, and Jason Clarke, with Sheridan’s frequent collaborator Ben Richardson directing the film.

The Plot and Production Details of F.A.S.T.

F.A.S.T. centers on a former special forces commando who joins the DEA to take down drug dealers in his hometown, who are surprisingly shielded by the CIA. Although Claflin has not disclosed the role he is playing, the storyline promises intense action within a complex web of crime and government involvement.

Brandon Sklenar, who previously appeared in Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel series 1923 as Spencer Dutton, is the only cast member with prior experience working with Sheridan. The rest of the ensemble, including Claflin, Stanfield, Rhodes, and Clarke, are collaborating with the writer-producer for the first time. Claflin has expressed his admiration for Sheridan’s body of work and hopes this film will mark the beginning of further collaborations.

Nevertheless, he acknowledged the challenge of keeping many details under wraps, stating,

“I don’t know how much it’s I’m able to talk about… It’s honestly frustrating. [Chuckles] Honestly, it’s the worst part of the job, I think, is when you’re doing something you really want to talk about and you’re not allowed to. But yeah… it’s great fun.”
