Blake Lively was reportedly offered a contract that promised substantial bonuses tied to major awards season nominations and wins for her role in It Ends With Us. The proposed agreement, revealed amid the actress’s ongoing legal dispute with film director and co-star Justin Baldoni, outlined payments that could have reached hundreds of thousands of dollars if she received recognition from prestigious award organizations.
Monetary Bonuses Based on Awards Outcomes
The draft contract detailed specific sums contingent upon Lively’s awards reception.
“Lively would have been paid $100,000 for an Academy Award nomination and $200,000 for a win, to be capped at $200,000 total,”
and she would have also received
“$75,000 for Golden Globe nomination and $100,000 for a win, and $50,000 for a SAG Award nomination and $75,000 for a win,”
according to the information obtained by an entertainment outlet. Additionally, the contract promised a $250,000 bonus each time the film hit a significant box office milestone.
Restrictions and Legal Conditions in the Agreement
In addition to financial incentives, the draft included a clause limiting how disputes concerning the film could be resolved. The contract contained
“an addendum that would prohibit Lively and the film’s producers from pursuing matters related to the film in open court,”
requiring instead that
“any issues [be] resolved through confidential arbitration in Los Angeles.”
Despite the lucrative potential, Blake Lively did not ultimately sign this agreement.
