The Maltin Modern Master Award, established in 1995 and renamed a decade ago to honor Leonard Maltin’s contributions as a film festival moderator and esteemed critic, celebrates artists who have enriched culture through their achievements in cinema. Past recipients have included renowned actors such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, Robert Downey Jr., Denzel Washington, Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, and Christopher Plummer, as well as acclaimed filmmakers like Christopher Nolan, James Cameron, Clint Eastwood, and Peter Jackson.
