Jennifer Aniston is set to star in and executive produce the upcoming adaptation of Jennette McCurdy’s memoir I’m Glad My Mom Died. The 56-year-old actress expressed to People magazine that the project captured her interest immediately. Aniston will portray a fictionalized version of McCurdy’s mother in the 10-episode limited series headed for Apple TV, while Jennette McCurdy will act as showrunner.

“When it came across my desk as an option, an offer to play this character and work with Jennette and Sharon Horgan and LuckyChap, I was pretty much immediately intrigued and flattered and excited,”

the Friends alum told the outlet,

“It’s going to be wonderful. It’s going to be pretty great to start shooting it.”
