New York filmmaker Noah Baumbach will be recognized with the Director Tribute at the 35th annual Gotham Film Awards, taking place in Manhattan on December 1. This honor celebrates Baumbach’s influential career and highlights his latest work, reaffirming his status in the independent film community.

Highlighting Baumbach’s Career and Recent Projects

The tribute will cover Baumbach’s entire body of work, including notable titles such as Kicking and Screaming, The Squid and the Whale, Marriage Story, and the recent blockbuster Barbie, which he co-wrote and co-produced. His newest film, Jay Kelly, will also be showcased during the tribute.

He further added,

“With ‘Jay Kelly’ — marked by Noah’s unmistakable writing and extraordinary performances from George Clooney, Adam Sandler and cast — he once again shows why his storytelling continues to inspire audiences everywhere. We’re honored to celebrate him and this beautiful film with the Gotham Director Tribute.”
