While DC Studios has secured an actor for Superman, the iconic Trinity remains incomplete as Batman and Wonder Woman have yet to be cast. The upcoming Wonder Woman movie, written by Supergirl scribe Ana Nogueira, is still in early development with no confirmed actress to portray Diana Prince. With anticipation building, public speculation continues around potential candidates, including Alexandra Daddario, who has been frequently mentioned by fans as a possible fit for the Amazon warrior.
Alexandra Daddario Addresses Fan Casting Speculation
Alexandra Daddario, best known for her role in True Detective, recently shared her thoughts on rumors connecting her to the role of Wonder Woman. Speaking with Screen Rant, she acknowledged the buzz without having encountered the fan-made artwork herself.
I haven’t, to be honest, I haven’t seen any of that [fan art]. I’m flattered to hear that it’s happening, but I haven’t seen it.
— Alexandra Daddario, Actress
She also expressed enthusiasm about the involvement of James Gunn in the DC universe but clarified she was unaware of any plans involving her directly.
But of course, working with James Gunn would be amazing in any capacity,
she added,
but I wasn’t aware that that was going on.
— Alexandra Daddario, Actress

At 39 years old, Daddario’s age might not align perfectly with DC Studios’ vision for Wonder Woman, though some current DC characters like Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner are portrayed as older counterparts to the younger Superman, leaving some room for interpretation.
Zack Snyder Shares Rare DCEU Moments Featuring Ben Affleck’s Batman
Recently, director Zack Snyder, having joined Instagram after years on the lesser-known platform Vero, has been unveiling unseen images from the DC Extended Universe archives. One highlighted photo showcases Ben Affleck in the role of Batman, captured in a studio Snyder constructed for Justice League.
In the portrait studio I built for Justice League, I captured this moment with Ben. No question—this man is Batman.
— Zack Snyder, Director
Despite many fans agreeing with Snyder’s assessment, Affleck’s portrayal of Batman did not receive unanimous acclaim. Following the grim tone of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the character’s depiction shifted to a lighter, more comedic style in Joss Whedon’s Justice League rework and The Flash. Plans for an Affleck-led Crisis on Infinite Earths movie were canceled after DC Studios’ reorganization, and his own version of The Batman project was dropped. The studio also has yet to cast Bruce Wayne for the upcoming The Brave and the Bold movie.
