Sydney Sweeney Drops Bold Tease on Euphoria Season 3

Sydney Sweeney revealed a striking detail about the upcoming third installment of the HBO hit series Euphoria during a recent red-carpet interview. The Anyone but You star offered a brief but bold preview of what viewers might expect from Euphoria season 3, sparking intense anticipation among fans eager for updates.

Speaking at Variety’s Power of Women event in Los Angeles, Sweeney responded to questions about the long-awaited season with one unexpected word: “Dildos.” She then added that her character, Cassie Howard, would experience emotional moments in the new season, saying,

“I mean, it’s Cassie. What do you expect?”

Production Nears Completion With Emotional Farewells

Sydney Sweeney revealed she is wrapping up filming for season three, confirming she is in the final week of production.

“This is actually my last week of filming,”

she said.

“I film tomorrow and Sunday, and then I wrap.”

Her comments suggest that the third season may mark the end of her tenure on the show.

While HBO has not officially declared season 3 as the series finale, Francesca Orsi, HBO’s head of drama, hinted to Deadline that discussions about ending the show have occurred.

“I don’t think anything is over until it’s over,”

Orsi said.

“It’s been discussed that this is the end.”

Sweeney shared her mixed feelings about concluding this chapter.

“I think it’s gonna be super bittersweet,”

she said.

“I grew up with all these people. I filmed the pilot when I was 20, and then season 1 when I was 21, so it’s definitely a crazy experience having a character with you for so long.”

She added,

“I get the privilege of being able to work with a lot of the same crew and the cast for such a long span of time. That usually doesn’t happen. I feel like I’m gonna be bawling my eyes out.”

Main Cast Returns With New Faces Joining Season 3

The majority of Euphoria’s acclaimed cast is expected to return for season three, featuring stars like Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane. The newest chapter also welcomes several prominent names in supporting roles, including Sharon Stone, Marshawn Lynch, Rosalía, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Trisha Paytas, and Colleen Camp.

Time Jump Will Shift Story Beyond High School

Zendaya has confirmed that season 3 will include a key time jump, moving the story beyond the high school years that defined the first two seasons.

“It’s important because there’s only so much high school drama you can deal with,”

she told Entertainment Weekly.

“It will be fascinating to see and understand these characters outside of the context of high school and how all the stuff that we saw when they were kids and they were in high school affects the adulthood they have and who they become in a much bigger world.”

Jacob Elordi Describes Season 3 as Cinematic and Intriguing

Jacob Elordi offered additional insight into the new season, describing it as “incredibly clever and cinematic.” He revealed that his storyline was filmed mostly separately from the rest of the cast.

“I don’t know what anyone else is doing,”

Elordi shared.

“I had a really singular storyline. You don’t know what the other storylines are. It’s like FBI files.”

He also expressed excitement about watching the show unfold from a fresh perspective:

“So it’s great because I’ll get to consume the show the same way that everybody else does, as a fan, which I haven’t been able to do before.”
