Scarlet Rose Stallone, daughter of Sylvester Stallone, shared how working together on the Paramount series Tulsa King affected their relationship. The actress plays Spencer, a horse caretaker at Fennario Ranch, and said the project brought new depth to their bond.
Growing Closer Through Tulsa King
In a recent interview with TV Insider, Scarlet spoke about the experience of acting alongside her father, who stars as Dwight Manfredi, also known as The General, in his first major television role. She noted that collaborating on Tulsa King strengthened their connection significantly.
“I think it completely changed our relationship in general,”
Scarlet said.
Scarlet reflected on how her father’s busy work schedule during her childhood had created some distance between them. Filming together allowed her to see him in a new light and develop a deeper understanding of each other.
“When I was younger, Sly was always working, so there was a bit of distance in the relationship. However, getting to actually work alongside him has made us really understand each other and have more of a profound respect for one another.”
Learning and Support on Set
Scarlet also shared that Sylvester Stallone helped her manage the pressures of acting. She expressed gratitude for his guidance and the chance to learn from him throughout the process.
“I think every actor has their own individual kind of pressure, but in this case, he’s helped me so much with everything when it comes to do with acting, and I love learning and working alongside him.”
On-Screen Dynamics Reflect Real-Life Growth
Beyond their off-screen relationship, Scarlet explained how Spencer’s bond with Dwight on Tulsa King mirrors aspects of her own experience with her father. She described how Dwight’s influence helps Spencer develop throughout the story.
“Seeing her character go from before Dwight, then after meeting Dwight, and how much she’s trying to find herself throughout that due to the help of Dwight, really makes her more grown and actually gives her more of an arc in the story.”
