Ansel Elgort’s Dance Debut in The Who’s Quadrophenia Unveiled

The full cast has been announced for the upcoming American debut of the Pete Townshend rock ballet Quadrophenia, which will be performed at New York City Center from November 14 to 16. This dance production, based on The Who’s 1973 album, follows a sold-out engagement at London’s Sadler’s Wells Theatre and a UK tour earlier this year. The performance features the orchestral soundtrack arranged by Rachel Fuller, using her 2016 version of the album.

Ansel Elgort to Make Professional Dance Debut in Leading Role

Film star Ansel Elgort, best known for roles in Baby Driver, Tokyo Vice, and the 2021 West Side Story, will make his professional dance debut in Quadrophenia. He will portray The Godfather, acting opposite Paris Fitzpatrick as Jimmy and Adam Garcia as Father. Elgort’s connection to dance traces back to his childhood studies at the School of American Ballet and his time at LaGuardia High School, making this performance a significant return to his artistic roots.
