Pete Davidson Ready to Return to SNL If Lorne Calls

Actor and comedian Pete Davidson has expressed willingness to return to Saturday Night Live if asked by series creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels. Davidson, who first joined the show at the age of 20, revealed his strong gratitude toward Michaels, saying,

“I owe that guy my life. He jump-started everything,”

Pete Davidson told People on November 8.

“I’d do anything for Lorne, and he knows that.”

Davidson was one of the youngest performers ever to join the SNL cast, entering during the show’s 40th season alongside notable young stars like Eddie Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and Anthony Michael Hall, who also began their careers on the show before turning 21.

Davidson’s Journey on and Beyond SNL

During his eight seasons on SNL from 2014 to 2022, Davidson grew into a prominent cast member known for his comedic skills. He returned as host in October 2023 and reflected positively on the experience:

“I had a great time hosting last time, and anytime you get that call, it’s an honor and a privilege,”

he said.

In addition to his time on SNL, Davidson collaborated on the Judd Apatow-directed film The King of Staten Island, which he co-wrote and starred in. He has also featured in major films like Fast X, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and The Pick-Up, as well as the Peacock series Bupkis. His work extends into advertising, including campaigns for Taco Bell and a current partnership with Amazon’s Alexa+.
