Andy Garcia Confirms Return for Ocean’s 14 Filming in 2026

Andy Garcia has confirmed that he will reprise his role as Terry Benedict in the upcoming Ocean’s 14, set to film in 2026. The announcement came during a press event for the second season of Taylor Sheridan’s Landman, where Garcia revealed details about the sequel to the popular heist franchise.

Production Schedule Adjusted Due to Actor Conflicts

Initially, filming for Ocean’s 14 was planned to start in January 2026 but had to be postponed slightly because of scheduling clashes. Brad Pitt, another key cast member, is expected to finish work on The Adventures of Cliff Booth around that time, which has likely influenced the delay. Warner Bros. has not issued an official comment regarding the revised timeline.

Returning Cast and New Director Bring Fresh Dynamics

George Clooney, producer and star of the series, commented on the gathering of the original cast for the new film. He shared with E! News,

“Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon] and Don [Cheadle] and Julia [Roberts]. I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends. And so, the chance to work together would be fun.”

This upcoming sequel will also mark a departure in the directorial role, with David Leitch—known for The Fall Guy and Bullet Train—helming the project as the first director outside of Steven Soderbergh to lead a mainline Ocean’s film. Gary Ross, who directed the 2018 spin-off Ocean’s 8, is not involved with this installment.

Steven Soderbergh Steps Away from the Franchise

Steven Soderbergh, who directed the original trilogy and produced Ocean’s 8, has made it clear that he is finished with the franchise. Earlier this year he told TheWrap,

“I made it clear to everybody that, you know, Go with God. I did what I could, and then produced ‘Ocean’s 8,’ and just felt like I’ve done my time.”

Ocean’s Franchise: Box Office Success and Spin-Off Projects

The Ocean’s franchise began with Ocean’s Eleven in 2001, a remake of the 1960 Rat Pack original that went on to earn $450.7 million worldwide, thanks to its star-studded ensemble and stylish heist plot. It was followed by Ocean’s Twelve in 2004, which took an existing script and adapted it for the series, generating $362.9 million globally. Ocean’s Thirteen, released in 2007, earned $311.7 million. The 2008 spin-off, Ocean’s 8, starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, and Anne Hathaway, brought in $297.8 million.

Additionally, Warner Bros. is developing an untitled prequel film directed by Lee Isaac Chung, featuring Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper.

Landman Season Two Set for November Return

Meanwhile, Taylor Sheridan’s Landman, which was the setting for Garcia’s announcement, is scheduled to return for its second season on November 16.
