George Clooney’s Son Dressed as Batman—But Didn’t Know Why!

At the Jay Kelly premiere in Los Angeles, George Clooney shared a humorous story about his son dressing as Batman for Halloween without fully understanding why, highlighting a candid family moment. These George Clooney family moments reveal the actor’s blend of humor and honesty about fame and parenting in everyday life.

Reflection on Career and Fame in New Film

In his latest role, Clooney plays an actor reflecting on his life choices, family connections, and the impact of his career. During an interview with Terri Seymour from Extra, Clooney discussed a poignant, yet awkward scene near the film’s conclusion where his character watches a montage of his career—actually featuring real clips of Clooney himself.

He remarked,

“When you get to be my age, it’s not so fun watching yourself age in a four-minute montage, you know? Going from 22 to 64 is not the most fun thing in the world to watch… It wasn’t as emotional as it was embarrassing,”

capturing the uneasy feeling of confronting one’s own aging and legacy on screen.

Since fame is central to the film’s theme, Seymour asked whether Clooney ever wished to return to anonymity. Clooney responded thoughtfully,

“Well, there’s times you’d certainly appreciate it because it’s a little easier to get around, but… no one ever wants to hear an actor complain about their lives when things worked out… Quite honestly, I was unemployed for a good portion of my life, and I hated hearing people who were working complain. So, I will never complain about it.”

Balancing Normalcy Away from the Spotlight

While Clooney’s wife Amal was absent from the event due to traveling, he shared their plans to reunite in Manila, saying,

“We’re going to go to Manila. So, she’s flying there now, and I’m going to fly there tomorrow.”

He further described their relationship as grounded despite his public life, explaining,

“We do normal date nights. We go to dinners and we have a really fun, normal life in general until I come out here on the big marquee.”

Children’s Innocence and Family Dynamics

Clooney also reflected on how his 8-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, perceive his fame.

“They don’t understand it, which is fun, and I appreciate that they don’t because it’s more fun when they don’t,”

he said, revealing the protective innocence surrounding his children’s view of celebrity. Regarding their honesty as his toughest judges, Clooney called them “the worst critics,” sharing humorously,

“My son… if he sees anything that I’m in, like on television, he just points and laughs.”

He recounted the Halloween incident:

“My son dressed up as Batman for Halloween and I was like, ‘You know, I was Batman.’ And he’s like, ‘Not really.’”

This moment underscores the often funny disconnect between a famous parent and their unfiltered children.

Upcoming Film Release Dates

Jay Kelly will be released in theaters on November 14 and will reach Netflix audiences on December 5, giving viewers a chance to see Clooney’s exploration of fame and family unfold on screen.
