Pierson Fodé Opens Up on Robert Zemeckis’ Upcoming Film

Pierson Fodé recently spoke with Kyle Meredith about his role in the Netflix holiday film A Merry Little Ex-Mas, which stars Alicia Silverstone and Oliver Hudson as a divorced couple attempting to have one final Christmas together before their fragile family dynamic unravels. Fodé portrays Chad, the affable new boyfriend whose well-meaning actions cause unexpected holiday chaos. While promoting this film, he also shared insights into his busy year, notably including a key role in Robert Zemeckis’ upcoming film The Last Mrs. Parrish.

Reflecting on a Busy Year in Hollywood

Fodé expressed optimism about his recent career progress after a challenging period marked by the pandemic and industry strikes.

“It’s been such a great year, especially coming out of the pandemic and the strikes,”

he said.

“I pushed my team hard to go forward with a conquering mindset, and it’s paid off — this is my fourth movie this year, and now I’m on set with Zemeckis pinching myself every day.”

He also humorously addressed his recurring image as the “shirtless slow-mo guy,” adding,

“If you’re going to be shirtless, at least make it viral. It pays the bills, man.”

Embracing the Spirit of Holiday Films

With a self-aware approach to his work in A Merry Little Ex-Mas, Fodé highlighted the importance of understanding the tone of Netflix holiday movies.

“You’ve got to know what you’re signing up for,”

he remarked.

“Netflix has really carved out their Christmas movie niche, and I love being able to play with that sandbox — not taking it too seriously, having fun, and giving people something that just feels good.”

Balancing Acting with Personal Commitments

Outside of acting, Fodé remains involved with his family’s farm in Washington and advocates for veteran support. Emphasizing the importance of honoring history in real life, he noted,

“It’s important to remember the people who built the country we live in. Telling stories is great, but honoring those stories in real life matters too.”

What’s Next for Pierson Fodé and Robert Zemeckis’ Project

As Fodé continues work on Robert Zemeckis’ upcoming film, audiences can anticipate seeing more of his evolving career and performances. His reflections reveal not only professional growth but also a thoughtful commitment to stories that resonate beyond the screen, signaling a promising trajectory in both seasonal entertainment and major film projects.
