Tom Cruise’s upcoming movie, potentially titled “Judy”, has been described as the wildest project yet by co-star Michael Stuhlbarg, who recently provided insights into the film’s production during an interview hosted by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. Iñárritu Directs an Ambitious Production with a Star-Studded Cast

The movie marks the return of renowned director Alejandro González Iñárritu to English-language cinema, following his 2015 film “The Revenant.” The screenplay was co-crafted by Iñárritu, Sabina Berman, Alexander Dinelaris, and Nicolás Giacobone, promising a compelling black comedy narrative. Alongside Tom Cruise, the film assembles actors Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde, Riz Ahmed, and Emma D’Arcy, among others. Key creative contributors include acclaimed cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki and editor Conor O’Neill, ensuring a high standard of visual and narrative quality.

Michael Stuhlbarg Reflects on the Challenging and Rewarding Filming Process

During his conversation, Stuhlbarg discussed how this project with Tom Cruise was not only the longest shoot of his own career but also a significant professional milestone. He emphasized the privilege of working with a cast and crew he called extraordinary, explaining the energy and commitment he observed throughout the process.

“That’s the craziest thing I’ve ever been a part of in my life. It’s fantastic. … It’s an extraordinary group of people,”

said Michael Stuhlbarg, Actor.

“I can’t wait to see how it is. I arrived in October and left in May the following year. It was the longest shoot I’ve ever done, and it was his passion project, something he’s been working on for years,”

said Michael Stuhlbarg, Actor.

Stuhlbarg also commented on the dynamic among the younger cast members and the collective drive of everyone involved in bringing Iñárritu’s vision to the screen.

“To be in that sort of proximity to those kinds of kids was really fun. Talk about willpower. Just the fact that the film was made to begin with, and to watch the power and tenacity that all of those artists had who created that piece. I’m so anxious for people to see it. I can’t say much more than that, but it was a privilege,”

said Michael Stuhlbarg, Actor.
