Uma Thurman is set to make a remarkable comeback as her iconic character from Kill Bill, this time through an animated narrative presented in Fortnite, marking her first return in two decades. The Uma Thurman Kill Bill return comes as Quentin Tarantino collaborates again with Thurman to bring a previously unfilmed sequence, using Epic Games’ technology, to digital life.
A New Animated Chapter for the Bride
Thurman’s role as the Bride, first seen in the Kill Bill films, takes on a new form through animation created in conjunction with the highly popular game Fortnite. Tarantino and Thurman used advanced motion capture and Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, allowing her movements and emotion to be transferred onto a digital stage.
The scene being revived was originally drafted for Kill Bill: Volume 1 and was meant to follow the Bride’s dramatic confrontation with O-Ren Ishii, played by Lucy Liu, and the Crazy 88 gang in Tokyo. It introduces a never-before-filmed antagonist, Yuki, portrayed as the sister of Gogo Yubari, O-Ren’s loyal bodyguard played by Chiaki Kuriyama. In the lost chapter, Yuki tracks the Bride from Tokyo to the United States, leading to an intense pursuit through an American suburb, which is depicted with the series’ characteristic violence and style.

What Fans Can Expect from the Scene
A newly released teaser reveals Yuki meeting the Bride and confronting her, which escalates into a frenetic gun battle and a subsequent car chase. The animated version incorporates familiar Fortnite elements, with characters like Peely—the anthropomorphic banana—and the Skull Trooper appearing alongside the film’s characters, further blending the worlds of cinema and gaming.
Release Details in Fortnite and Beyond
The animated short, now titled The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge, premieres inside Fortnite on November 30 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time. According to an official Fortnite blog update,
