Olivia Wilde, attending the premiere of her film The Invite, condemned the killing of a second protester by federal officers in just three weeks. She described the incident as “unfathomable” and expressed disbelief at witnessing
“people get murdered in the street.”
Wilde referred to the victims as “brave Americans” standing up against perceived injustice by ICE agents and emphasized that such violence must not become normalized.
The latest victim, 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti, died after being pinned down and shot multiple times by federal officers. Pretti’s death followed the earlier shooting of Renee Good, also 37, who was killed while sitting in her car by an ICE officer in Minneapolis.
