Zendaya has broken her usual silence to talk about her relationship with Tom Holland, a topic the couple generally keeps private. The two have been involved romantically since 2021 and are known for their work together in major projects such as Christopher Nolan’s film The Odyssey and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, both releasing later this year. Following widespread speculation, their engagement in early 2025 was confirmed by several sources.
The Dynamics of Their Personal and Professional Partnership
The Euphoria star praised Holland not only as a partner in life but also as a collaborator on set. She remarked,
“I might be a little biased but he is not only my favorite person, he is my favorite person to work with,”
highlighting the deep connection they share beyond their personal lives. Zendaya also revealed that Holland’s presence has a calming effect during filming, which benefits everyone involved in the production. She stated,
“On set, he has this huge calming presence that not only puts me at ease but also everybody he works with.”
Balancing Privacy with Public Life
Although the couple strives to live their lives normally, Zendaya stressed their commitment to safeguarding their private moments from the public eye. Regarding their boundaries, she said,
“Neither of us want to hide and not live our lives and do normal things, like go out for dinner, but at the same time, we want to protect our privacy.”
She added,
“You have to accept that to a degree, some aspects of your privacy are going to be out of your control. But the parts that are in our control, we fiercely protect.”
Adjusting to Life in the UK
Currently residing in the UK, Tom Holland’s homeland, Zendaya shared how she has adapted to life across the Atlantic. She no longer feels like an outsider, saying,
“It really feels like coming home, and I love the people.”
However, despite embracing many aspects of UK life, she humorously expressed her confusion about a particular British snack, commenting,
“But I will never understand the fascination with Jaffa Cakes. They just don’t make sense to me.”
