Academy Award winner Emma Stone makes her first Super Bowl appearance in a poignant advertisement directed by Yorgos Lanthimos for Squarespace’s Super Bowl 60 campaign. The ad is set to air on February 8 during the game’s first and second quarter break and continues the longstanding collaboration between Stone and Lanthimos.
A Glimpse Into the Emotionally Charged Black-and-White Campaign
The 15-second teaser for the campaign, titled Unavailable, presents a mysterious and emotional scene in striking black-and-white. It focuses closely on Stone as tears stream down her face, creating a cinematic and reflective tone. Complementary black-and-white posters enhance the sense of intrigue around the campaign.
Longstanding Partnership and Notable Collaborations
Stone and Lanthimos have worked together on several acclaimed films, including 2026’s Bugonia, which earned Stone a Best Actress nomination and a Best Picture nod for the film. Their recent projects include Kinds of Kindness (2024), Poor Things (2023), and the 2018 hit The Favourite. Stone’s portrayal of Bella Baxter in Poor Things secured her the Best Actress Oscar in 2024, highlighting the strength of their artistic partnership.
In addition to directing the Squarespace ad, Lanthimos is also behind Grubhub’s debut Super Bowl commercial this year, marking the director’s increasing presence in high-profile advertising.
