The New Special: Bringing The Muppet Show Back to Life
The iconic characters—Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the entire Muppets ensemble—are coming back in a new special that promises music, comedy, and classic Muppet chaos. The show features Sabrina Carpenter as a very special guest performing on the original stage of the Muppet Theatre.
Alex Timbers directs the special and serves as executive producer alongside Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, and Alex McAtee of Point Grey Pictures. The Muppets Studio executive producers include David Lightbody, Leigh Slaughter, and Michael Steinbach. Carpenter, Albertina Rizzo, Matt Vogel, and Eric Jacobson also hold executive producer credits.

The production relies on veteran Muppet performers Bill Barretta, Dave Goelz, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz, David Rudman, and Matt Vogel to bring the classic characters to life. Dave Goelz, celebrated for his over fifty years in the franchise and his roles as Gonzo and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, among others, remains a key part of the series’ heartbeat.
