Newly disclosed documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s private records, made public on January 30, 2026, expose an unsettling fixation on Brad Pitt by the disgraced financier. Despite Brad Pitt’s lack of involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities, Epstein devoted years to monitoring the actor’s personal and professional life in detail.
The extensive files, part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act release, reveal Epstein’s constant updates on Pitt came through emails sent by Richard Kahn, Epstein’s close associate and estate executor. These communications tracked everything from Pitt’s architectural ventures to intimate aspects of his relationships after his split from Angelina Jolie, underscoring the extent of Epstein’s disturbing preoccupation with the Hollywood star.
Epstein’s Monitoring of Brad Pitt’s Romance Linked to MIT
Among the 2018 emails, one notable thread focuses on Brad Pitt’s relationship with Neri Oxman, an acclaimed architect and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). A message dated April 2018, titled
“Brad Pitt spending time with rockstar MIT professor,”
contained a forwarded Page Six article sent to Epstein by Kahn, which described Pitt and Oxman’s connection during a collaborative project.
The report painted Pitt as deeply engaged in architecture and design, highlighting the immediate rapport between him and Oxman. Subsequent email updates included playful comments like “Angelina who?” and dubbed Oxman a “dazzling supernova” for her combination of intellect and beauty. Epstein’s interest likely went beyond superficial gossip, given his controversial ties to MIT’s Media Lab, where he had donated nearly $800,000.

Oxman later revealed she met Epstein once in 2017 at the lab director’s request, presenting him with a 3D-printed marble gift after a $125,000 donation he made to her design group. She apologized to her students afterward for the “mess” surrounding that encounter, but the emails expose Epstein’s ongoing surveillance of how his financial influences at MIT intersected with high-profile figures like Brad Pitt.
Epstein’s Social Reach Evident Through Invitations and Gossip
The documents also underscore Epstein’s persistence in maintaining social connections despite his criminal background. Among the three million pages is an invitation from Brad Pitt’s camp to Epstein for a 2013 screening of the actor’s blockbuster film, World War Z. This event took place five years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring a child for prostitution, a time when he was expected to be ostracized.
Instead, these records imply Epstein managed to remain on the fringes of elite social circles. Further entries depict Epstein’s associates casually commenting on Pitt, with one describing him simply as “cute.” While there is no evidence Pitt was ever aware of Epstein’s surveillance or had direct contact with him, the documents illustrate Epstein’s obsessive effort to insert himself into Hollywood’s glamorous world.
By cataloging Brad Pitt’s life so meticulously, Epstein was mapping the social network he sought to inhabit, demonstrating his refusal to be excluded even as his crimes came to light.
