White recently spoke with TVLine about the status of the next installment, confirming that after finishing Survivor, he will start scouting locations and working on the script.
“No, so after we play the game, I’m gonna start scouting for Season 4, so I don’t even know where it’s shooting,”
he said, highlighting how early the creative process still is for the France-based season. This new setting will be Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez, raising anticipation among fans who enjoyed previous locations such as Thailand in Season 3.
Excitement for Survivor 50 Comes Amid White Lotus Success
Following the success of the Thailand-set third season of The White Lotus, White shared how fortunate he was to be available for Survivor 50.
“Weirdly, if it had happened in any other time in the last five years, I just would not have been available. But when they told me the dates, I was like, ‘I could actually do that,’”
he revealed. The timing allowed him to step outside his usual creative work and engage with a milestone event in reality television.
Reflecting on the Opportunity to Return to Survivor
White expressed enthusiasm for revisiting Survivor after several years away, emphasizing the appeal of a change in pace from his usual projects.
“I love my show, obviously, and I’m excited to go back to it, but it’s nice to think about something else, do something different, get out of my head, my little world,”
he said. He also acknowledged the significance of Survivor 50 for participants and fans alike, adding,
“Survivor 50 is such a huge event for so many people I know who are involved in the show, who were in the show, and also for me. So I just felt like this was a party invite that was pretty exclusive and I was like, ‘I can’t pass this up.’”
