A Unique Collaboration with London’s Self-Portrait Fashion Brand
The film was created in collaboration with the London-based fashion label Self-Portrait, marking the first project under its new Residency program. This initiative, which launched last year, invites creatives from various disciplines to contribute their unique styles, supported by Self-Portrait’s infrastructure, platforms, and resources. The aim is to provide these artists the freedom and tools to dream and build their visions.

The title translates to drama, theatrical performance, or play in Malay, conveying the film’s thematic connection to tradition and storytelling. Filming took place in Penang, culminating in scenes at a bustling Hawker Center, aiming to capture the essence of local life and culture.
