Actress Pamela Anderson shared that her son, Dylan Jagger Lee, has asked her to be blonde again for his upcoming wedding. This request came after Anderson’s recent change from her iconic blonde look to a copper red shade for a film role.
During a February 11 interview on Today, Anderson reflected on how Dylan’s wish demonstrates the strong bond between boys and their mothers in terms of appearance and identity.
Hair Transformation Journey and Family Background
Earlier in October, Anderson switched from her signature platinum blonde to a bright red tone to prepare for a movie role. However, her son Dylan, who is engaged to architectural designer Paula Bruss, expressed a desire for her to return to blonde by the time his wedding takes place.
Anderson shares Dylan and his older brother Brandon with her ex-husband Tommy Lee. Since her brief stint as a redhead, Anderson has slowly transitioned back to her famous peroxide blonde hair, including experimenting with a strawberry blonde pixie cut and adding a pink streak for a pop of color.
Discussing Her Return to Blonde and Personal Style Choices
On the Today show with hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, Anderson explained that she now feels comfortable and happy returning to her blonde roots. She described the experience of reverting to blonde as a positive change after trying out different shades.
During the appearance, Anderson styled her blonde lob in a voluminous, swept-back look, complementing it with a long white shirtdress and white strappy heels. She was also seen carrying the Large Romy Bucket Bag and wearing SS26 runway wrap sunglasses by Tory Burch.
Reflections on Makeup and Authenticity
Anderson also opened up about her choice to often go makeup-free in public. While expressing her love for makeup—particularly as a tool to get into character—she emphasized her desire for authenticity in her personal life.
“But I don’t want to play a character in my personal life,”
Pamela Anderson stated during the interview.
