Ryan Gosling Returns to Host Saturday Night Live in March

Ryan Gosling is set to host Saturday Night Live again on March 7, marking his fourth time as the show’s host. The actor will appear on the NBC program to promote his upcoming film Project Hail Mary, which will be released in theaters on March 20.

Scheduled Performances and Upcoming Episodes

Gosling’s episode will feature the virtual band Gorillaz as the musical guest, making their debut performance on the show. Led by Damon Albarn, Gorillaz will showcase songs from their forthcoming album The Mountain, which is scheduled for release on February 27. Following this episode, NBC will air another edition of SNL on March 14, with the host and musical guest to be announced at a later time.

Recent and Current Season Highlights

Earlier in the season, SNL announced that Connor Storrie, known for his work on Heated Rivalry, will host the February 28 episode with Mumford & Sons as the musical guest. The show began its 51st season in October 2025 with Bad Bunny as the premiere host. This season experienced several cast changes, including the departures of long-standing members Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner, alongside newer cast members Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and Michael Longfellow. Additionally, John Higgins exited the show, while his Please Don’t Destroy colleague Ben Marshall was promoted to the main cast, and Martin Herlihy transitioned into a writing position.

New additions this season include Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska. Midway through the season, Bowen Yang concluded his eight-year tenure on the show, with his departure marked by an episode he hosted alongside his Wicked co-star Ariana Grande.
