Sony Pictures has unveiled the first photos of actors Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Harris Dickinson, and Joseph Quinn in the upcoming project titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, directed by Sam Mendes. The post releasing these images confirms Mescal as Paul McCartney, with Keoghan portraying Ringo Starr, Quinn as George Harrison, and Dickinson seen wearing John Lennon’s iconic glasses while playing guitar in a recording studio. This early glimpse follows the cast announcement made during CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas.
Production Focuses on Individual Beatles Members and Their Stories
The film series will consist of four movies, each highlighting the life and perspective of a different member of The Beatles as they rise from their origins in Liverpool in the early 1960s to global superstardom before the band’s breakup in 1970. Supporting cast members include Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Anna Sawai portraying Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, and Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey—each linked to the band members through marriage during the peak of their fame. Additionally, Harry Lloyd is cast as producer George Martin, while James Norton plays Brian Epstein, the band’s manager.
