Jackie Chan’s German Voice Actor Stefan Gossler Dies at 70

Stefan Gossler, known for his extensive work as a voice actor dubbing for Jackie Chan and Tim Allen, passed away on January 19 at the age of 70. His death came just over a month after he celebrated his birthday on December 14. News of his passing was shared by fellow actors Peter Flechtner and Sven Plate.

Although Gossler was not widely recognized by name in the United States, his voice was familiar to German audiences through numerous American films and television series. He was a prolific figure in the dubbing industry, providing German voices for many international productions.

Significance of Gossler’s Dubbing Work for Jackie Chan and Tim Allen

Gossler was closely associated with bringing the performances of Jackie Chan and Tim Allen to German-speaking viewers. He dubbed Chan’s voice in a variety of popular movies including the Rush Hour series, Kung Fu Panda, Karate Kid, Police Story, and Shanghai Noon franchises. His voice also featured in Chan’s films like Rumble in the Bronx, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, The Foreigner, along with the TV show Jackie Chan Adventures.
