During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Natalie Portman disclosed that she took a memorable prop from the Star Wars prequel films, in which she portrayed Padmé Amidala. The item was a locket containing a lock of hair from Anakin Skywalker, played by Hayden Christensen, symbolizing the on-screen romance between their characters. Portman described the piece as “quite iconic” but admitted to misplacing it.
The only problem is I lost it. I don’t know where it is now. I stole it and lost it.

Details About the Prop and Other Keepsakes
Portman explained that Christensen’s hair used for his Padawan braids included clip-on extensions, making the locket’s lock of hair a unique relic. She revealed this was the only prop she took or at least the only one she acknowledges. Meanwhile, Christensen has confirmed taking several personal souvenirs from the Star Wars prequel productions, including some braids and additional items.
At Fan Expo in New Orleans earlier this year, Christensen elaborated on his collection of mementos from the set of 2005’s Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. He clarified that the hair incorporated in his character’s look was not entirely his own and mentioned keeping several small braids from Episode II as well.

Christensen’s Lightsaber Heist and Shipping Strategy
Among the items Christensen took was a complete lightsaber from the Australia filming locations of Episodes II and III. He humorously recounted his efforts to retrieve it after initially shipping it back home, resorting to disguising the package as a didgeridoo to avoid confiscation.
I was trying to figure out how to get this one lightsaber back,

So I packaged it up, and I shipped it as a didgeridoo. I told them I bought a didgeridoo, [because] I wanted them to send it back to Canada for me.
