He emphasized that the upcoming project will honor fans by delivering a unique and meaningful interpretation. When asked about the possibility of appearing on screen, Powell indicated that while it is unlikely, it cannot be completely ruled out.
Powell Praises A24’s Commitment to Quality and Care for the Franchise
Powell described Texas Chainsaw Massacre as
“one of the most brilliant horror movies.”
He recognized A24 as a studio dedicated to creating exceptional work, stating,
“They’re such a custodian and guardian of quality… They’re so passionate about what we’re doing. They have a really strong vision. Everyone around it really cares, and when you have that sort of group mentality protecting something like that, I care about it, everybody cares about it, I know we’re going to do something really special with it.”
Production Role and Potential On-Screen Involvement
Regarding his role beyond producing, Powell commented,
“You never know, but as of now, I’m just [producing]… You know, I am known for wearing masks, between Chad Powers and Leatherface. But, no, I really think it’s probably something for [my production company] Barnstorm to produce, but I am definitely going to be very involved.”

While no official release date has been announced for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, Glen Powell’s involvement and A24’s dedication indicate a promising path forward for the franchise.
