Kodak has announced its honorees for the 8th annual Kodak Film Awards, taking place on March 2 at the American Society of Cinematographers clubhouse in Hollywood. The event will celebrate Kristen Stewart Kodak award recognition for her role in The Chronology of Water, alongside filmmakers, cinematographers, and directors for their outstanding contributions to cinema and television.
Notable Recipients Highlighted for Creative Excellence
Kristen Stewart is set to receive the Debut Feature Award for her work on The Chronology of Water, joining a distinguished list of past winners including Céline Song, Michael Morris, and Melina Matsoukas. Joachim Trier, recognized for his film Sentimental Value, will be honored with the Auteur Award, recognizing those who have maintained a steadfast artistic vision. As described by Kodak, this prize honors
“motion picture artists who have created critically acclaimed work and remain steadfast in their artistic process.”
Trier’s film garnered nine Academy Award nominations, including best picture and director.
Cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw will receive a Lumière Award for her
“contributions to the art of cinematography.”
This honor marks a homecoming as Kodak has partnered with her on projects such as Sinners and The Last Showgirl. Arkapaw is currently an Oscar nominee for her cinematography work on Sinners.
Salomon Ligthelm will be acknowledged with a music and commercial film director award, given
“in recognition of extraordinary talent and trailblazing creativity in the field of music and commercial films.”
Ligthelm’s portfolio includes videos for artists and brands such as The Weeknd, Giveon, Skrillex, Ford, Kia, and Puma.

Television and Industry Figures Also Celebrate Their Achievements
The Amazon Prime Video series Fallout and its creators, Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, will be named television series of the year. The award recognizes the show’s
“cinematic scope, visual craftsmanship and contribution to episodic storytelling,”
with both seasons currently available for streaming.
Patricia Keighley of IMAX will be honored with the Keighley Award, named for her and her late husband David Keighley. According to Kodak, their shared
“dedication to the theatrical experience has played a significant role in advancing the art and technology of filmmaking.”
Accompanying this tribute, filmmaker Christopher Nolan will be making a special appearance to present Keighley’s award during the ceremony.

Vanessa Bendetti, Kodak’s head of motion picture and entertainment, emphasized the continued importance of film in modern storytelling:
