Leonardo DiCaprio TikTok Sensation: BTS with Chase Infiniti at BAFTAs

During a red carpet interview at the BAFTAs on February 22, Chase Infiniti revealed how Leonardo DiCaprio became a TikTok sensation. The British Academy Film Awards took place at the Southbank Centre‘s Royal Festival Hall in London, where Infiniti was nominated for Best Lead Actress and the Rising Star Award.

When asked about making TikToks with the 51-year-old star of Shutter Island, Infiniti confirmed with a laugh,

“I did make TikToks with Leo,”

adding that the experience was enjoyable.

Initiating the TikTok Campaign for Their Film

Infiniti explained that the idea to use TikTok for marketing their movie emerged from conversations between director Paul Thomas Anderson and DiCaprio. Desiring a fresh, engaging promotion method, Infiniti suggested trying TikTok as a medium to reach a wider audience.

After the suggestion was made, Anderson and DiCaprio appointed Infiniti to lead their TikTok efforts. She accepted on the condition that

“[they were] ready to be in a TikTok because I’m gonna ask you to be in a bunch,”

highlighting the collaborative spirit behind the campaign.

Success and Impact of the TikTok Initiative

The TikTok approach proved to be effective, and Infiniti noted in past interviews that DiCaprio grew to enjoy this new way of engaging with fans. This digital promotion helped generate buzz for their film while showcasing a different side of the actor, making Leonardo DiCaprio a TikTok sensation in the process.
