Chris Hemsworth Says His Kids Aren’t Impressed by His Fame

Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth recently revealed that his children do not show much enthusiasm for his worldwide fame. Speaking in London, Hemsworth explained how his kids, including his 13-year-old daughter India Rose and his 11-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan, remain largely indifferent to his status as a movie star, despite his prominent roles in popular films.

Kids’ Reaction to Hemsworth’s Role as Thor

Chris Hemsworth, widely recognized for portraying Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, said his children were initially intrigued when they learned he played the superhero. However, their curiosity quickly faded once they realized their father lacked the powers his character possessed.

“They don’t care. They don’t care at all…I reckon when they first realised I was Thor, they thought it was really cool…And then they realised they couldn’t fly and they thought it was less cool,”

Hemsworth told People magazine.

“Now they’re just like, ‘ah, Dad, whatever’…Teenagers,”

he added.

Recent Projects and Career Highlights

Beyond his role in the Marvel films, Hemsworth has appeared in titles such as The Cabin in the Woods and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. His latest project, Crime 101, directed by Bart Layton and featuring Monica Barbaro, Barry Keoghan, and Halle Berry, was released on February 13.

Implications of the Kids’ Attitude Toward Fame

The actor’s comments highlight the contrast between public adoration and private family life, where fame does not necessarily translate into admiration from one’s children. This dynamic illustrates the challenges celebrities may face in balancing their career achievements with the realities of parenting teenagers. Hemsworth’s experience suggests that even the brightest Hollywood spotlight can be dimmed in the eyes of those closest to home.
