Jeff Goldblum and dodie Reimagine Jazz Classic “Mean To Me”

Jeff Goldblum, the American actor and accomplished pianist, has teamed up with UK bedroom pop artist dodie to release a new version of the jazz classic Mean To Me.” This collaboration is part of Goldblum’s upcoming album, Night Blooms, scheduled for release on June 5th, and highlights the charm of the 1920s era through a modern lens.

Background of the Collaboration

Goldblum’s return to music includes performances with the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra and a variety of guest artists. Last year, dodie joined him on several headline shows, including appearances at London’s iconic Palladium, where she contributed both vocals and clarinet.

The new single “Mean To Me” grew out of these live collaborations and offers a playful reinterpretation of the original song by Ahlert and Turk.
