Drescher shared this during an interview with E! News, highlighting her readiness to take on the role of wedding officiant for the couple.

Although Drescher jested about already having her officiant credentials, she made it clear that the couple has not gotten engaged nor asked her to officiate. She remarked,

if they asked me to. I do officiate gay weddings, so I certainly can branch out and officiate this if they wanted me to.

Despite her enthusiasm, Drescher acknowledged the possibility that she might not be chosen for the ceremony, adding,
