Lacey Chabert is set to star in the upcoming limited series Paris Is Always a Good Idea, which will premiere later this year on Hallmark+. Based on Jenn McKinlay’s best-selling romance novel of the same name, the series follows Chabert’s character, Chelsea Martin, on a transformative journey through Europe.
Filmed on location in Paris and Spain, the series also stars Scott Michael Foster, Barbara Niven, Henry Czerny, and Rebecca Hanssen. The story centers on Chelsea, a career-driven nonprofit executive who travels to Paris with her competitive yet supportive rival Jason Knightly, played by Foster, in an effort to secure a vital donation for her organization.
A Multinational Cast and Scenic European Settings
Alongside Chabert and Foster, the cast includes Stephen Hagan, Julien Marlon Samani, and Alejandro Albarracín. The narrative unfolds across several picturesque destinations, including the rolling green hills of Ireland and the sunlit vineyards of Spain, evoking a mood of romantic nostalgia and self-discovery as Chelsea confronts her past loves.
The official synopsis describes Chelsea’s journey as inspired by a poignant message from her late mother and encouragement from her sister, Annabelle, prompting her to reconnect with the significant relationships she once left behind. This emotional narrative weaves together themes of healing, growth, and unexpected romance.
