Austin Nichols is an American actor and director whose career encompasses film, television, and directing. He is best known for his portrayal of Julian Baker in The CW’s One Tree Hill, which he also directed episodes of, and for his role as Spencer Monroe on AMC’s The Walking Dead. His film work includes The Day After Tomorrow (2004), Wimbledon (2004), The Utopian Society (2003), and Glory Road (2006). He gained early recognition for a role in Six Feet Under and led the HBO series John From Cincinnati. Nichols studied English at the University of Southern California, graduating in 2002 before guest starring on series including Deadwood and Pasadena.
