Brian Thomas Grazer was born on July 12, 1951, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Arlene Becker Grazer and criminal defense attorney Thomas Grazer. Raised in the San Fernando Valley neighborhoods of Sherman Oaks and Northridge, Grazer was exposed to a rich cultural environment that helped shape his creative perspective. He attended the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema-Television, graduating in 1974. Although he briefly studied law at USC Law School, he left in 1975 to pursue a career in film and television.
