Daniel Wu is an American actor born in Berkeley, California, widely regarded as one of the most flexible and distinctive leading actors in the Chinese language film industry. Beginning his screen career in 1998, Wu has appeared in more than 60 films and is a three-time Golden Horse Award winner. He earned a Best Supporting Actor win at the 41st Golden Horse Awards for New Police Story and the Best New Director award at the 26th Hong Kong Film Awards for The Heavenly Kings, which he also wrote and directed. Wu gained broader international recognition through his roles as Sunny in the AMC series Into the Badlands and in the Disney+ series American Born Chinese.
