Peter Stormare is a Swedish-American actor whose career spans more than four decades across film, television, theater, and video games. He first gained international recognition for his chilling performance as Gaear Grimsrud in the Coen brothers’ Fargo (1996), followed by memorable roles in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, The Big Lebowski, Armageddon, and Minority Report. On television, he is widely recognized for his portrayal of mob boss John Abruzzi in Prison Break. A classically trained stage actor, Stormare performed with Sweden’s Royal Dramatic Theatre and earned acclaim for a celebrated Hamlet directed by Ingmar Bergman. He has also pursued music, releasing albums and fronting the band Blonde from Fargo while running his own record label. Collaborating with major directors and maintaining a distinctive, intense screen presence has defined his extensive body of work.
