Lindsay Lohan Shares Rare Halloween Photo With Family

On October 31, Lindsay Lohan shared a rare glimpse of her personal life with her fans, posting a Halloween photo on Instagram Stories featuring her husband, Bader Shammas, and their young son, Luai. In the festive picture, Lohan dressed as Batgirl while Shammas and Luai both dressed as different versions of Batman. The actress captioned the image simply with “Happy Halloween,” giving followers a warm look at the Lindsay Lohan family Halloween tradition.

Building Boundaries Between Public Life and Privacy

Lohan and Shammas were married in 2022, and their son was born the following July in Dubai. Since relocating, Lohan has shared that living outside the United States provides a more private environment for her family. Speaking with The Sunday Times, she reflected on the trauma she experienced with invasive paparazzi attention during her youth and the importance she now places on protecting her family’s privacy.

She expressed,

“I don’t ever want my family to experience being chased by the paparazzi the way I was. They were terrifying moments I had in my life — I have PTSD to the extreme from those things. The most invasive situations. Really scary. And I pray stuff like that never comes back. It’s not safe. It’s not fair.”

Regarding changes in the media landscape, Lohan noted,

“I feel that it [the paparazzi’s invasion of personal privacy] doesn’t happen as badly now as it did.”

She also highlighted how social media has empowered individuals to control their narratives:

“It was way worse when I was younger, but now, because of social media, people can tell their own story in the way that you want it to be told. It has reclaimed the ownership of your life.”

Lastly, she acknowledged the challenge of dividing her personal and professional worlds, saying,

“We didn’t have that. But what I have learned over time is how to separate my private life and public life, and that was difficult for me because nobody ever teaches you how to do that.”

Upcoming Projects Include Hulu’s Limited Series

Looking ahead, Lohan has been cast in the Hulu limited series Count My Lies, a production helmed by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, known for their work on This Is Us. She will star alongside Shailene Woodley in this new series, adding to her growing list of recent work.
