Justin Baldoni and his wife Emily have recently put their 10-acre Ojai property up for sale at $8.9 million, amid the ongoing Blake Lively legal battle. The home, located in southern California, reflects considerable time and effort invested since its purchase in 2020 for $2.1 million. The couple refurbished the estate over two years, enhancing it significantly before listing it in early February.
Details and Design of the Expansive Ojai Property
The spacious house spans more than 5,200 square feet, featuring five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Nestled on over ten acres, the estate offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Topatopa Mountains. The property was at first listed for rent at $40,000 a month in late 2025, but this option was withdrawn by January, according to Realtor.com listings managed by Lester Cook of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty.
In a 2023 interview with Architectural Digest, Justin and Emily Baldoni explained that their design choices took inspiration from their family’s trips to Mexico, resulting in interiors with a distinct Spanish style. Emphasizing care in their approach, Justin Baldoni remarked,
“We worked hard to make this house beautiful.”
He also mentioned that the home’s layout was designed with feng shui in mind, aimed at creating a peaceful living environment.
Emily Baldoni described their residence as a true sanctuary, adding,
“We also live in such a magical place in Ojai. And so we also wanted to let that inspire our home. We have mountains. There’s rock, stone, water—it’s very earthy, very natural, and absolutely gorgeous. We wanted it to feel like a sanctuary when we come home.”
The Listing Amid a Brewing Legal Confrontation
The sale of the Baldonis’ home coincides with a complicated legal dispute involving Justin Baldoni and his co-star from It Ends With Us, Blake Lively. The case is set to proceed to trial in March, drawing increased public attention to the couple’s personal and professional challenges. While the sale of this major asset may reflect personal or financial shifts tied to the litigation, the details of how this impacts the ongoing case remain to be seen.
This sale could signal a turning point for Baldoni and his family, who invested years into crafting their ideal living space. As the trial approaches, the outcome of this dispute may also influence their future decisions regarding property and privacy in California’s Ojai region.
