Vin Diesel Celebrates Fast & Furious 25th Anniversary with Meadow

Vin Diesel marked the 25th anniversary of the Fast & Furious franchise on March 2, sharing a heartfelt moment with Meadow Walker, daughter of the late Paul Walker. The actor posted a video on Instagram, celebrating the milestone along with close members of the franchise family.

Sharing Memories and Celebrating Legacy

In the video, Diesel and Meadow Walker, who appeared together in 2023’s Fast X, reflected on the significance of this milestone since the original film debuted in June 2001. The two shared a “Sunday family dinner,” emphasizing their close bond and shared history. Diesel expressed nostalgia during their reunion, saying,

“Obviously we always share old stories, nostalgic stories, especially since it’s the 25th anniversary,”

highlighting the emotional weight of the occasion.

Fast & Furious Cars to Feature in Los Angeles Exhibition

Both Diesel and Meadow expressed excitement about a new display of cars from the Fast & Furious films at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Diesel stated,

“But Meadow and I were incredibly excited for some reason about the fact that our cars from Fast and Furious are going to be — featured? Premiered? Shown?”

to which Meadow added uncertainly,

“Yeah, on display? I don’t know.”

Diesel confirmed, “At the Petersen car museum.”

The exhibition, launching on March 14, will showcase vehicles from the entire 11-film saga, including screen-used cars and production prototypes that have become iconic in the series. According to the museum, the exhibit celebrates a legacy centered on living

“a quarter mile at a time.”

Honoring Paul Walker and His Legacy

During the Instagram video, Diesel also noted a touching moment involving Meadow and the Paul Walker Foundation. He said,

“Something that warmed my heart was when Meadow talked to the whole family about how excited she was that her Paul Walker Foundation merchandise will be available at the museum,”

before jokingly asking,

“And when are we cutting the ribbon?”

Meadow replied with a smile, “On the 12th of March.”

Meadow Walker has served as chairman of the Paul Walker Foundation since her father’s death at age 40 in 2013. The foundation promotes educational initiatives focused on ocean conservation and wildlife protection.

Looking Ahead: The Future of the Franchise

Meadow and Diesel’s recent public appearances include their reunion at premieres for Fast X in 2023. Additionally, Meadow paid tribute to her father with childhood photos on Instagram to mark the 12th anniversary of his passing last December.

Vin Diesel is scheduled to return as Dominic Toretto in Fast Forever, set for release in 2028. The film will feature many returning stars, including Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Momoa, and other franchise regulars, underscoring the ongoing significance of the Fast & Furious saga.
