Dogstar, the alternative rock band featuring actor Keanu Reeves on bass, has announced the release of their new album, All in Now. This marks their second full-length album since reuniting in 2023 after a 20-year hiatus.
Before the album’s official release on May 29, the band launched the music video for the first single and title track, All in Now, along with announcing a summer U.S. tour to promote the new work.
Dogstar’s Reunion and New Material After Two Decades
Keanu Reeves reunited with his bandmates Robert Mailhouse, a drummer known for his acting work including a role on Seinfeld, and guitarist/vocalist Bret Domrose. Together, they performed live shows in 2023, their first in over 20 years, and followed that momentum with the 2023 album Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees. Their earlier album, Happy Ending, was released in 2000 before their long break.
Despite Reeves’ busy schedule in 2025 — which included filming projects directed by Ruben Ostlund and Jonah Hill, as well as making his Broadway debut alongside Alex Winter in Waiting for Godot — he prioritized recording new material with Dogstar. The band worked in the studio with producer Nick Launay to continue their creative collaboration.
Band Members Reflect on Their Latest Album
Reeves expressed enthusiasm about making music with Dogstar once again. He said,
“We couldn’t fucking wait. Personally, I loved it all. For me, the attitude was like, ‘let’s work hard and let’s GO.’”
Drummer Robert Mailhouse added,
“The album really sets up the energy at the heart of this album and the fun that we’ve always had playing together.”
Tour Plans Support Album Launch
To celebrate the release of All in Now, Dogstar will perform two shows in California before heading to Europe for a tour. Afterward, they will return to the U.S. on August 1 for a North American leg starting in Austin, Texas, with performances scheduled through September 3.
The band’s renewed activity showcases their dedication to blending alternative rock with their unique chemistry, connecting longtime fans and new listeners alike.
