Cary Joji Fukunaga is an American filmmaker known for directing the Emmy Award-winning first season of HBO’s True Detective (2014), the James Bond film No Time to Die (2021), and features including Sin Nombre (2009), Jane Eyre (2011), and Beasts of No Nation (2015). He co-wrote Stephen King’s It (2017) and directed the Netflix series Maniac (2018).
